PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel provided with a shielding device with which excellent dust-proof and drip-proof properties are obtained while lens driving is not impaired. SOLUTION: The lens barrel is provided with the shielding device having inner and outer cylindrical members 7 and 2 coaxially arranged with the optical axis of a photographing optical system and relatively moved; and a shielding member 4 to shield an interstice between them. An intermediate barrel 21 movably held in a direction crossing an optical axis direction is provided on either the inner barrel 7 or the outer barrel 2, and the shielding member 4 slid relative to the other barrel is provided to the intermediate barrel 21.
