PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator superior in safety by operating an announcing means when a refrigerant leaks, and rousing user operation for opening a door in the refrigerator using the combustible refrigerant. SOLUTION: This refrigerator has a refrigerating cycle for sealing the combustible refrigerant by successively connecting a compressor 11, a condenser 14, and orifice mechanism 15, an evaporator 16, and an accumulator 17, a detecting means 29 for detecting the refrigerant leaked or previously detecting the refrigerant to be leaked, and the announcing means 27 for announcing a user that the refrigerant has leaked or the refrigerant may leak when this detecting means detects the refrigerant leaked or previously detects the refrigerant to be leaked.
