PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance vibration resistance by raising the rigidity of a coil end in an AC generator for a vehicle. SOLUTION: For a stator winding, inner conductors which are arranged in two or more pairs as an inner layer and an outer layer in the depth direction of a slot, and a first and a second coil end conductors which are arranged extendedly at both ends in the axial direction of the slot, are made. The first coil end 31a is a crossover which connects the inner conductors in different layers within the slot being apart by pitches narrower than those of NS magnetic poles, and the second coil end 31b is a crossover which connects the inner conductors in different layers within the slot being apart by pitches of NS magnetic poles. Consequently, the height of the first coil end can be lowered, so that the vibration resistance can be enhanced by raising the rigidity of the coil end. Moreover, since the generator can lower the electric resistance value of the first coil end, this can contribute to output elevation by lowering heat radiation loss. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
