PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide remote control technologies for confirming a control object receiver before transmission of its control signal to prevent wrong operations from taking place. SOLUTION: The remote controller is configured so that a transmission instruction of a discrimination signal to specify a receiver and a transmission instruction of a control signal to control the specified receiver are separately performed, and at least the transmission instruction of the control signal is made after the particularized receiver is confirmed. The receiver is configured so that the receiver makes a notice or display when the receiver receives a discrimination signal from the remote controller and discriminates that the discrimination signal indicates the specifying of itself.
