PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing circuit for imaging apparatus and a signal processing method thereof capable of reducing coloring of areas causing luminance saturation. SOLUTION: A saturation part coloring correction circuit 23 of the signal processing circuit 20 for an imaging apparatus detects a luminance saturation part (areas where color balance is unbalanced) and reduces a sense of incongruity due to coloring of the luminance saturation parts by correcting a video signal to keep a proper color balance.
