PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document control system to properly control a plurality of document file groups constituted of a plurality of document files revised in their versions the version by the version. SOLUTION: The document control system 1 stores, in a short-cut control database 5, the document file group in the very version accumulated in a document control database 4, and document/version control information for controlling version information of the plurality of document files constituting the document file group in the every version, a short-cut including the version information of the document file group in the very version in the document control database 4, and including a document identifier for making the document file group in the very version in the document control database 4 correspond thereto is generated to be stored in the short-cut control database 5, and the document file group in the very version in the document control database 4 is controlled properly based on the short-cut.
