PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear coupling device that has a structure for driving a plurality of driven parts and a simple constitution, allows miniaturization of equipment, and consumes less power. SOLUTION: The gear coupling device has a sun gear 30 and a planet gear 31 rotated by a motor 20 as a driving source, and the sun gear 30 and the planet gear 31 are supported by a turnable first arm 32 having a projecting parts 32b and 32c. The projecting parts are locked or released by the turning operation of a first stopper 35 disposed in the outside part of the first arm 32 to control a turning position of the first arm 32, and a plurality of driven side gears 36 and 60 fitted to the planet gear 31 are switched. The turning position of the first stopper 35 is controlled by shape variation by a conduction or non-conduction state of a lever driving body 40 made of shape memory alloy. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
