PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve the blowing characteristics of a fan motor. SOLUTION: This motor sucks air running along a rotating shaft and exhausts the air in the direction orthogonal to a rotating shaft through a blowing passage 12 formed out of an outer periphery 2b1 of an impeller 2 and an inner side face 6a1 of a housing 6. The impeller outer periphery 2b1 and the housing inner side face 6a1 are formed by increasing its diameter so that the intake opening side may be brought nearest to each other in the rotational-axial direction and the non-intake opening side may be most distant from each other. In the impeller outer periphery 2b1 and the housing inner side face 6a1, the diameter may be wholly increased, or a section with no increased diameter may be included. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
