Veterinary compositions comprising synergistic amounts of a nitroenamine derivative of formula (I) and a benzoylurea derivative of formula (II), wherein R1 and R2 is hydrogen, alkyl or cycloalkyl; R3 is hydrogen or alkyl; and A is heterocyclyl which is unsubstituted or substituted once or repeatedly by identical or different halogen atoms; and where X is halogen, X1 and X2 is hydrogen or halogen; Y is partially or completely halogenated alkoxy, or partially or completely halogenated alkoxy which is interrupted by one oxygen atom, or partially or completely halogenated alkenyl; Y1, Y2 and Y3 is hydrogen or halogen; Z1 and Z2 is hydrogen or alkyl; and a physiologically acceptable formulation excipient; and their use in controlling fleas on domestic animals.
