PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply perform black level correction with high performance at a low cost. SOLUTION: The black level correction apparatus 1 decides whether or not a level of an input signal to a DAC 60 is to be changed depending on whether or not an OB error belongs to a correction range being a rage of obtaining a correction effect when an error detector 50 changes the input signal level to the DAC 60 by one step. Thus, the black level correction apparatus uses the OB error so as to properly determines whether or not the OB error corresponds to a value to be corrected and can simply correct a black level with high performance at a low cost by using components with the similar performance to that of a conventional black level correction apparatus without the need for a DAC with high resolution and an LPF with high performance.
