PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the accuracy of color conversion in response to a printed image without increasing the number of grating points of a color conversion table in performing color conversion with the use of the color conversion table and an interpolation arithmetic operation altogether in a generating process of print data. SOLUTION: In a configuration of specifying grating points of the color conversion table by color signal data RGB, inner-grating point distances d<SB>0</SB>set at an equal interval are revised to be small within density range where inter-grating point distances d<SB>1</SB>to d<SB>5</SB>are comparatively more densely distributed depending on tables ((a), (b), (c)) in response to density characteristics ((a), (b), (c)) of a printed image.
