KEY TELEPHONE MASTER UNIT AND HUB UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key telephone master unit capable of avoiding increase in the number of network cables to the outside of the unit even when the master unit connected to a network while coping with multi-line communications and to provide a hub unit used for the same. SOLUTION: The key telephone master unit includes: a VoIP unit having a function of converting a voice signal to an IP signal and vice versa; a mother board provided with a socket to which the VoIP unit can removably be attached and having at least a function of supplying DC power to the VoIP unit via the socket; and a hub unit or a socket for the hub unit which has a power supply common to the DC power supply of the mother board. The VoIP unit can input/output the IP signal from/to the outside of the VoIP unit not through the mother board. Thus, the network cable of the key telephone master unit is connected to the outside after line concentration by the built-in hub unit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
