PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for sealing a liquid crystal injection opening which prevents a contaminant sticking to a cloth from sticking to the liquid crystal injection opening to enter a liquid crystal display panel when liquid crystal remaining sticking to a flank where the liquid crystal injection opening present is wiped away with the cloth, etc. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel 8 filled with a liquid crystal 5 by a vacuum injecting method is set on pressurizing tools 9a and 9b with the flank where the liquid crystal injection opening 1 is present down and uniformly pressed on the whole; and the liquid crystal display panel 8 in the pressed state is slanted and excessive liquid crystal 5 which remains stuck is wiped away by using the cloth 14. Then, an ultraviolet-ray setting resin 6 is charged in the liquid crystal injection opening 10 and irradiated with ultraviolet light 12 to set, thereby sealing the liquid crystal injection opening 10.
