PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical zone shaped sealing body which is an applicable seal body in a wide range atmosphere temperature exceeding 500°C over normal temperatures, and be able to be an external surface with excellent holding ability and durability, and as a result, without reducing a slidable characteristic and without generating an abnormal sound in not only an initial stage but also in a long term use. SOLUTION: The spherical zone shaped sealing body 30 has a through-hole 27 at its center and is provided with a spherical zone shaped substrate 33 specified by a cylinder inside 28, a partial convex spherical shaped surface 29 and annular ends 31, 32 at the large diameter side and the small diameter side of the partial convex spherical shaped surface 29, and an outer layer 34 integrally formed on the partial convex spherical shaped surface 29 of the spherical zone shaped substrate 33.
