PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for supporting education enabling one teacher to select a plurality of learning courses and efficiently support learning of each student belonging to the learning course with one information terminal for the teacher.

SOLUTION: One or more supporting courses inputted by a teacher from a teacher information terminal 5 together with teacher identification ID are collated with a learning course inputted by a student from a student information terminal together with student identification ID by a collating and deciding means 11 of an education supporting device 1. A student specified by the student identification ID inputted together with the learning course coinciding with each of the teacher's supporting courses is decided as a support-needed student to be supported by the teacher. The learning state information of each support- needed student is displayed on the teacher information terminal 5 of the teacher to whom the decided support-needed student is assigned so that the teacher can support learning of the support-needed student.
