PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle communication device capable of receiving traffic information or the like matching with a vehicle model. SOLUTION: In this communication device, an attribution information about a vehicle is stored in a toll settlement storage part 6 of an automatic toll settlement part 102 communicating for automatically settling a toll of a toll road. The toll settlement storage part 6 can be an IC card detachable from the automatic toll settlement part 102. An information processor 9 holds attribution information read from the toll settlement storage part 6 by a toll settlement control part 8. An optical beacon part 100 or an electric wave beacon part 101 generates uplink information transmitted to an optical beacon on-road unit or an electric wave beacon on-road unit and uplinks the information. The uplink information includes a vehicle model classification included in the attribution information. The optical beacon part 100 or the electric beacon part 101 receives the traffic information matching with the vehicle model classification from the beacon on-road unit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
