摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the driving transmission mechanism of a multicolor developing device for an image forming apparatus, by which a main body side driving member and a developing unit side slave member which are mutually positioned at random are previously engaged. <P>SOLUTION: The driving transmission mechanism consists of; a driving member 61 for driving the individual developing units of the multicolor developing device; and the slave member 64. The driving member 61 is supported by an image forming apparatus main body so as to be freely rotatable and optionally obtains rotation force via a driving transmission intermittent component. The slave member 64 is supported by the multicolor developing device so as to be freely rotatable and engaged with the driving member 61 when the multicolor developing device is positioned at a development place after rotation. A projecting driving side guide part 61a and a projecting slave side guide part 64a respectively consisting of an involute curved surfaces being the same as a teeth part are arranged on the side surfaces of the driving member 61 and the slave member 64. Even when the respective teeth parts of the members 61 and 64 are disposed at random, both guide parts 61a and 64a serve as the guides to smoothly and reliably engage the teeth parts without allowing the edges of the both teeth parts to run on each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
