<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a secondary battery capable of sufficiently improving the electrode active material carrying quantity, while previously avoiding a malfunction that a collector is hooked on a separator or the collector breaks the separator, and to provide a manufacturing method of this electrode for a secondary battery capable of sufficiently improving the manufacturing efficiency, and to provide a secondary battery possible to increase a charge and discharge capacity thereof to improve the performance and possible to prevent the generation of internal short-circuit. <P>SOLUTION: In the electrodes 2 and 3 for a secondary battery, the electrode slurry having the electrode active material and the high polymer binder is carried as electrode layers 2b and 3b by the collectors 2a and 3a. Multiple holes K are bored in the collectors 2a and 3a except the peripheral edges thereof. In the manufacturing method of these electrodes 2 and 3, a boring process for boring the multiple holes K is provided before a coating process for coating the collectors 2a and 3a with the slurry.
