PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber array which has a substrate and a lid part securely fixed across an adhesion layer, is free of peeling between the substrate and lid part, and adhesion layer and a shift of the position of an optical fiber, and can accurately transmit a light signal. SOLUTION: The optical fiber array comprises the substrate and lid part which are fixed across the adhesion layer and has a plurality of grooves formed in a portion of the surface of the substrate or lid part and optical fibers stored in the grooves, and is characterized in that the transmissivity of the whole of or some area of the substrate and/or lid part to ultraviolet rays perpendicular to a main surface is 65 to 100%.
