摘要 A dry powder nutritional composition for optimizing muscle performance during exercise and for enhancing muscle cell repair and recovery following the cessation of exercise comprises (by weight): a) 68.00% to 88.00% of one or more sugars for providing energy during exercise with 50.00% to 70.0% being high glycemic sugars and 8.00% to 20.00% being low glycemic sugars; b) 17.00% to 22.00% of one or more proteins for stimulating the release of insulin to the muscle cells during exercise and for repairing muscle cells after exercise; c) 0.50% to 2.00% of glutamine for reducing muscle stress by stimulating the immune system and for stimulating muscle cell recovery after exercise; d) 1.00% to 3.00% of arginine for stimulating the release of insulin within the muscle cells in order to facilitate the transport of glucose into the muscle cells during exercise and for the synthesis of glucose into glycogen; e) 0.50% to 2.00% of vitamin C for use as an anti-oxidant for preventing free radical formation during exercise and for protecting muscle cell integrity during exercise; f) 0.50% to 2.00% of vitamin E for use as an anti-oxidant for preventing free radical formation during exercise and for protecting muscle cell integrity during exercise; g) 0.10% to 2.00% of a sodium ion (Na+) compounds for replenishing electrolytes lost during exercise and for facilitating intestinal reabsorption of fluids; h) 0.10% to 2.00% of a potassium ion (K+) for replenishing electrolytes lost during exercise and for facilitating intestinal reabsorption of fluids; i) 0.10% to 2.00% of a magnesium ion (Mg2+) for replenishing electrolytes lost during exercise and for facilitating energy dependent processes; j) 0.50% to 3.00% of ciwujia for enhancing the immune system, reducing muscle stress, and decreasing heart rate during exercise; and k) 2.00% to 5.00% of one or more of leucine, isoleucine or valine for providing energy during exercise and for repairing muscle cell damage after exercise. The nutritional composition described above can be in the form a liquid further containing 80-85% by weight of water or juice providing a liquid carrier for the dry powder.
