<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic image forming device that imparts high tensile strength to an image carrying belt, ensures a high quality image without demanding physical properties which are difficult to relax stress, allows an image transfer mechanism to be freely disposed, and contributes to a reduction in the size of the device itself. <P>SOLUTION: The representative structure of the electrophotographic image forming device has an image carrying belt 3 which carries a toner image, and a plurality of rotational bodies which rotatably support the image carrying belt 3. The rotational bodies are a drive roller 5 which rotates to drive and follower rollers 6 and 7 which rotate following it. Each rotational body integrally has a rotational shaft. A drive transmission belt 4, which is different from the image carrying belt 3, for drive and transmission is provided between the pulley 5a of the drive roller 5 and the pulleys 6a and 7a of the follower rollers 6 and 7, thereby driving and rotating the drive roller 5 and follower rollers 6 and 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
