PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a new rotary drum type dryer with an entanglement prevention type mixing blade capable of preventing entanglement of a string-like refuse to a mixing blade without deteriorating a dispersion effect of a processed material due to the mixing blade, and then realizing a stable operation. SOLUTION: A mixing blade 32 is equipped with a working plate 32a giving a mixing action to a processed material, and an entanglement prevention plate 32c, and the entanglement prevention plate 32c is attached to the working plate 32a having a clearance angle. A string-like refuse L contacting with the entanglement prevention plate 32c is pushed to the inner periphery side of a rotary drum 2 by a centrifugal force, so that it is not entangled with the mixing blade 32.
