<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically select a path reflecting an actual use situation of an electric or optical path. <P>SOLUTION: A router performs a traffic observation, and a setting change of the electric or optical path is requested with traffic information obtained by the observation as a trigger. For example, a node which changes electric/ optical path setting performs a traffic observation and requests setting change of the electric or optical path on the basis of the traffic information, a relay node performs the traffic observation, notifies the node which changes the electric/optical path setting of the traffic information, and the notified node requests the setting change of the electric or optical path, or, respective routers perform the traffic observation respectively, use a method for publicly notifying traffic information obtained by the respective routers, i.e., a link state to update a link state database by flooding, and request the setting change of the electric or optical path in accordance with the update contents. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
