PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent device, which has large Luminosity, high luminescence efficiency, and long element life, and is possible to make it have large area and can be manufactured easily. SOLUTION: With respect to the electroluminescent device which consists of one, or two or more organic compound layers inserted between a pair of electrodes, which consist of a positive electrode and a negative electrode, at least either of which is transparent or translucent, at least one layer of the organic compound layers contains one or more sorts of electric charge transportation nature polymers, which consists of a repetition unit, which contains at least one sort chosen from the structure shown by the formulas (I-1), and (I-2) as the partial structure.
