PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera constituted so that various photographing fields can be successively and continuously monitored and an optimum photographing field corresponding to a subject can be easily selected. SOLUTION: When a changeover switch 24 is turned on, respective photographing fields among various photographing fields are successively switched at prescribed intervals and displayed in the finder 16, and when the changeover switch 24 is turned off, the operation of successively switching the photographing fields is stopped. Then, various photographing fields are automatically monitored and compared with one another, the photographing fields corresponding to various aspect ratios and the photographing fields corresponding to the zoom positions of various photographing lenses can automatically be monitored and compared, independently or in a combined state.
