PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more accurately and easily correct the offset or gain of a radiation solid-state detector for image signals due to its dark current, in a radiation image reading method for reading image signals according to radiation image information recorded by irradiation with recording electromagnetic waves from the radiation detector. SOLUTION: Correcting pixel regions covered with shield members 6 are provided in a position adjacent to read pixels respectively. A correcting means 25 corrects image signals corresponding to the read pixels, based on correcting region signals corresponding to the correcting pixel regions adjacent to the read pixels.
