PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball screw supporting bearing capable of being accurately positioned and pre-loaded, lighter and less in space than a two-line combined angular ball bearing, and superior in wear resistance and seizure resistance at its rolling contact portion. SOLUTION: A four-point contact ball bearing with an inner ring 2 divided in two is used instead of the two-line combined angular ball bearing. Inner ring raceway surfaces 21a, 22a and an outer ring raceway surface 1a and the surface of a ball 3 are each provided with a metal oxide layer being 0.005μm or more and 0.2μm or less in thickness and a phosphorus compound being 0.003μm or more and 0.012μm or less in thickness, in sequence.
