PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk with which a large amount of still picture data are recorded, a retrieval based on the recording time of the still picture data is realized and the data size of the recording time information can be suppressed small and to provide an optical disk recording apparatus and an optical disk playback apparatus. SOLUTION: The N (however, N is an integer number equal to or larger than one) number of still pictures is grouped in a lump in order to minimize a data amount for managing a recording time of the still pictures. A recording time (F-RECTM) of the first recorded still picture and a recording time (L-RECTM) of the last recorded still picture are recorded as management information in each group.
