PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently take out weak fluorescence for observation when observing fluorescence by using excitation and absorption filters. SOLUTION: The fluorescence-observing apparatus comprises an excitation filter for transmitting only excitation light having a specific wavelength in illumination light, and an absorption filter for transmitting only fluorescence that is generated from a sample due to the illumination of the sample by excitation light and shields excitation light. The interval between the long-wavelength- side half-value wavelength in the excitation filter and the short-wavelength-side half-value wavelength in the absorption filer ranges from 6 to 12 mm, and change in the half-value wavelength of the excitation and absorption filters when humidity changes from 10% to 95% is within 0.5 nm.
