摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absolute position measuring device capable of being constructed small and enhancing the measuring accuracy. SOLUTION: The absolute position measuring device is equipped with a body 1, a spindle 2 movably installed to the body 1, two rotary encoders 3A and 3B to transmit phase signals in two different periods in accordance with the moving amount of the spindle, an arithmetic processing means 7 to determine the absolute position of the spindle 2 through arithmetic processing of the phase signals, and a display means 10 to make digital display of the absolute position, wherein two phase signals have different phase difference with respect to the varying position of the spindle 2 in the moving region of the spindle 2, and the arithmetic processing means 7 is equipped with a phase signal processing means to compare the two phase signals and determine the phase difference between the signals and an absolute position calculating means to calculate the absolute position of the spindle 2 from the obtained phase difference.
