<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to detect whether supplied power is properly used and properly charge for power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A power monitoring system is for monitoring power used in a region where power is supplied. The region is divided into a plurality of districts, and the districts are further divided into a plurality of areas. The power monitoring system comprises area-by-area energy meters which are installed in the individual areas and detect data related to electricity usage; district-by-district energy meters which detect data related to electricity usage in the individual districts; and control units which compare the sum of data related to electricity usage from the area-by-area energy meters with data related to electricity usage in the districts, and detect the occurrence of an anomaly if both the values of data are not matched with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
