<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of setting a priority in a packet on an application level, and a repeater that relays the packet. <P>SOLUTION: In a communication system, a first communication apparatus is provided with: an application data preparing part for preparing data of an application level and application data including a priority of an application level; and a lower-level packet preparing part provided in the communication apparatus for preparing the packet by adding a header including a transmission destination address and a transmission source address of a level lower than the application level to the application data. A first repeater is provided with: a priority identifying part provided to the repeater for judging whether a priority is set in the application data of a received packet to identify a first priority on the application level; and a priority controlling part provided to the repeater for updating the TOS field value of a packet header having a level lower than the application level on the basis of the first priority. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
