<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device, a method therefor, an image processing program, and a recording medium with the image processing program recorded thereon capable of outputting a digital image of a satisfactory image reduced in gritty feeling. <P>SOLUTION: This image processing device is provided with an exposure discrimination part 5 and a gritty feeling prediction part 6 for predicting a degree of grittiness generated in an output digital image based on the density of an input image and a second sharpness strength computation part 7 for adjusting the strength of a sharpening processing applied to the input image in accordance with the results of prediction of the degree of grittiness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
