PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal image display device in which cross talk caused by potential fluctuation of a common electrode depending on display image is corrected for all gradations in an active matrix liquid crystal panel having switching elements, the cost is reduced and the picture quality is made high. SOLUTION: The active matrix liquid crystal panel having switching elements is provided with circuits 103 and 106 in which correction values are added to the potential fluctuation of the common electrode in accordance with the gradation and signal line IC output is corrected so that the fluctuation in a liquid crystal writing voltage caused by the potential fluctuation of the common electrode becomes an original liquid crystal writing voltage.
