PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamo-electric machine which prevents any thermal deformation of a yoke opening part 5a and effectively utilizes magnetic flux generated by a permanent magnet 6 provided on an inner circumference of a yoke 5. SOLUTION: In the yoke 5 of a starter motor 2, the thickness of the yoke opening part 5a combined with an end frame 10 is the same as the thickness of a part having the permanent magnet 6. The end frame 10 has a fitting projecting part 10b in an opening part of a cylindrical outer wall part 10a, and a fitting recessed part 10c to insert the yoke opening part 5a inwardly in the radial direction of the fitting projecting part 10b is provided. In this configuration, the sectional area of the yoke opening part 5a functioning as a magnetic circuit is not reduced, and the magnetic flux generated from the permanent magnet 6 is effectively utilized, and the performance thereof is improved. In addition, the fitting projecting part 10b of the end frame 10 is fitted to the outside in the radial direction of the yoke opening part 5a, the fitting projecting part 10b is exposed to the outside air, and the heat radiation property is improved.
