<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide illumination or signal equipment which forms the light of predetermined intensity. <P>SOLUTION: This equipment has two or more light emitting diodes (10A, 10B, and to 10N) which each of them emit light and are turned on by turns by being supplied with pulse-like current, the pulse of the supplied current of the above light emitting diode has higher instantaneous intensity (I<SB>p</SB>) than the maximum intensity (I<SB>max</SB>) in a stable state and the average intensity (I<SB>average</SB>) lower than the above maximum value, and a duty ratio that is larger than or equal to the inverse number of the numbers of the light emitting diodes.
