The invention concerns a device comprising means for converting the vertical movements of a floating apparatus connected to the seabed, into exploitable energy. Said device comprises a first flexible linking element (2) acting on a hydraulic cylinder (7) mounted in a hydraulic circuit including a high pressure tank (14) and a hydraulic motor (16), and a second linking element (4) enabling said apparatus to be anchored. The vertical movements of the floating apparatus generate in a hydraulic circuit a rate flow and/or pressure variation enabling said hydraulic motor (16) to be driven in rotation.
