<p>A friction damper (1) comprises a base (2); a support body (4) fixed to an elongated member (35) of the base (1) and having a through hole (3); a rod (7) extending through the through hole (3) of the support body (4)and movable in an axial direction (X) with respect to the support body (4); a friction member (9) having a hollow cylindrical portion (8) interposed in the through hole (3) of the support body (4) between a main portion (85) of a rod (7) and the support body (4), and fixed immovably irrespective of the relative movement of the rod (7) in the axial direction (X) with respect to the base (2); and fastening means (12) provided to the support body (4) so as to fasten the hollow cylindrical portion (8) of the friction member (9) to the main portion (85) of the rod (7).</p> |
