<p>An image formation apparatus capable of accurately controlling reciprocal movement of a carriage and paper feed, and forming a high-quality image even when the paper advances with inclination or paper different from setting is supplied. An ink jet printer (1) has a motion sensor (70) in a carriage (31) and identifies the type of paper (P) by using a paper position signal output from the motion sensor (70), so as to modify the printing condition according to the paper type. Moreover, by using the paper position signal output from the motion sensor (70), the ink jet printer (1) calculates the movement amount of the carriage (31) and the feed amount and inclination amount of the paper (P), so as to control the reciprocal movement of the carriage (31) and the feed of the paper (P) according to the values calculated.</p> |
