A device for adjusting a lid cover (58) for an oxygen mask dispensing container (10). The device includes a stationary plate (19) having a cover (58) that is adjustable relative to the plate (19) by means of a spring (65) such that an outermost lid cover (58) is capable of easily mating with the opening in the interior lining (14) of an aircraft. The lid (13) is spring-biased toward the plate (19) such that when the plate is attached to the oxygen mask dispensing container body 10), the lid (13) is automatically pulled into position relative to the opening in the interior lining (14) of the aircraft.
