Disclosed is a solenoid of superior quality in which an improvement has been achieved in terms of abrasion resistance. A fluid accumulating chamber Q is formed substantially coaxially with a plunger chamber P and on the opposite side of a center post 4 through the intermediation of the plunger chamber P. On the outer peripheral side of the rod 6, there is provided a first bearing for separating the plunger chamber P and the fluid accumulating chamber Q from each other.
