The device has a motor with a pinion on a driven shaft, a motor holder, a gearbox with 2 plastic side plates, star gear wheels and a gearbox output shaft(s). The motor is outside the plates so the driven shaft is parallel to the gearbox output shaft(s) and the pinion engages the gears. A side plate has opening is coaxial/almost coaxial with the driven shaft. The motor and gearbox are joined by a shape-locking plug and/or rotation connection. The model construction drive has a motor (1) with a driven shaft (2), a pinion (3) on the shaft, a motor holder, a gearbox with two plastic side plates (51,52), star gear wheels between the plates and at least one gearbox output shaft (7). The motor is arranged outside the plates so the driven shaft is parallel to the gearbox output shaft(s) and the pinion engages the gears. One side plate has an opening (8) coaxial or almost coaxial with the driven shaft and at least the size of the pinion cross-section. The motor and gearbox are joined by a shape-locking plug and/or rotation connection. Independent claims are also included for the following: a model construction motor holder, a model construction motor changing device and a model construction motor changing system.
