The rollers (1,2) have reduced diameter portions between the flanges at the ends to accommodate the enlarged beads at the edges of the panels of fabric making up the sections of the awning. The flanges on the two adjacent rollers come close enough to trap the beads and prevent them pulling out. The bearings for the rollers are mounted on a vertical baseplate (3) with fastening bolts (4) at the bottom and a pivoted (10) frame (9) with stops (5) for the top roller.
