METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SECURING A TOP PORTION OF A LADDER

A method and apparatus for securing a top portion of a ladder. A first step involves providing a ladder having a pair of parallel side rails. A second step involves providing at least one belt having an inner ladder engaging surface and an outer non-slip surface. A third step involves securing the at least one belt in a selected position to one of the pair of parallel side rails at a top portion of the ladder with the outer non-slip surface engaging a surface against which the top portion of the ladder rests.
