<p>Controller based hardware device (5) comprising a plurality of hardware elements (21-27) and method for setting such a device. The device (5) comprises a controller node (14-20) for each of the hardware elements (21-27), and a control instruction decoder (12). The control instruction decoder (12) is arranged for receiving control data for a specific one of the hardware elements (21-27) and communicating that control data to the associated hardware element (21-27). The control data comprises at least one control vector (30), which comprises at least one command line (31-32) and an indication of the scheduling of the command lines (31-32). The command line (31-32) comprises at least one operation (33, 34, 35) which may be executed in parallel on the controller based hardware (5).
