The output data (CNTB) from a counter (2) is received through a register (5) clocked with a clock (CKA) assigned to another counter (1). The output data (CNTA) from the counter (1) is delayed by clock period of the clock (CKA). When the difference between the data output from register and delayed data is more than a predetermined value, the output data of register is replaced with temporally adjacent data (CNTB5). An Independent claim is also included for data correction device.
