<p>The invention provides a mobile virtual network operator platform (50) that enables user of wireless personal communication system networks to communicate with one or more wireless application operators irregardless of the air interface access technique used by the personal communication system network and irregardless of the wireless network. Furthermore, the invention includes methods of and a system for providing users of wireless personal communication system networks with multiple wireless applications form one or more wireless application operators irregardless of the air interface access technique used by the personal communication system network and irregardless of the wireless network. The mobile virtual network operator platform (50) is a proxy server that comprises a short message service center and an application aggregation device (45). The short message service center interface (35) enables the network operator platform (50) to communicate with the one or more personal communication system carriers that are using one or more air interface access techniques. The application aggregation device (45) enables the network operator platform (50) to communicate with multiple wireless application operators, which enables the network operator platform to provide multiple wireless data applications (40) to remote users of the various personal communications systems.</p> |
