Protective pipe for ground water measuring system is anchored in concrete foundation by side protections, and is protected against corrosion by being dipped in lacquer

The steel pipe (Stahlrohr) may be hot dip galvanized or sprayed with zinc powder to give cathodic protection against corrosion. A male thread (Gewinde) is cut at the top end after the dipping or spraying to accommodate a cap made of aluminum. The pipe may be open at the bottom and passes through a concrete foundation block (Beton). The top surface of the block is flush with surface of the ground (GO). Sideways projections on the pipe (Betonanker) hold the pipe firmly in the foundation block.
