<p>A polyester film which is made of a blend comprising 10 to 90 wt% of a polyester (A) mainly composed of ethylene terephthalate units and 90 to 10 wt% of a crystalline polyester (B) different from the polyester (A) and exhibits a half width of recrystallization peak of 0.25 or below as determined by the use of a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) under temperature-fall conditions. The crystalline polyester (B) is preferably one selected from among polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT), and polyethylene 2,6-naphthalate (PEN). The film has excellent mechanical characteristics and high crystallinity and does not cause whitening even when heated as such or in a state laminated with metal sheet to a temperature near or over the melting point of the film, thus being excellent in decorativeness. Further, the film can be improved in mar resistance by properly controlling the reduced viscosity and the recrystallization peak temperature.</p> |
