<p>An input circuit comprises a first and a second amplifier circuit (2, 3), each of which has a pair of transistor devices (N21, N22, N31, N32) of the same polarity in a differential common source configuration, a common source terminal (CS2, CS3), a differential input and an output (Out; OutP, OutN); said first (3) and said second (2) amplifiers being driven by a differential input signal, a current generator circuit (6) providing operating current for said first and said second amplifiers; a load circuit (1) providing a drain load for said first and said second amplifier circuits (2, 3), said load circuit (1) being coupled to combine output currents from said amplifiers to obtain an output signal. A common mode level shifting circuit (4) shifts the common mode level of the differential input signal (InN, InP). One of said first and second differential common source amplifiers (2) receives at its differential input the common mode level shifted differential signal (SP, SN). A current distribution circuit (5) distributes the current provided by said current generator circuit (6) among said first (3) and said second (2) amplifier circuits in such a manner that the distribution of the current among the two amplifiers depends on the common mode level of the received differential input signal.</p> |
